The workshop explains the Mothers in Motion project, which had the following goals:

  • To identify barriers that limit mothers with low socio-economic status from participating in physical activity
  • To identify solutions and best practices that will help these mothers participate in more physical activity
  • To develop resources that will help practitioners increase these mothers’ participation in physical activity

CAAWS came to Alberta in 2009 to deliver the Mothers in Motion workshop, which was hosted by the Alberta Centre for Active Living.
