2015 Alberta Survey on Physical Activity

The Alberta Survey on Physical Activity has reported on the physical activity status of adult Albertans since 1993. The 2015 report marks the first time that sedentary behaviour time has been included.

According to the 2015 Alberta Survey on Physical Activity:

  • Physical activity levels have remained relatively stable over the last decade

  • 60% of Albertans get enough physical activity

  • Albertans spend an average of 9 hours per weekday in sedentary activities

  • 1/3 of Albertans are sedentary for ≥10 hours per day
